This blog was bound to end at some time or another and I'm writing now to give that news. I booked my flight for Dallas a couple of nights ago. I found out last Saturday that my father has cancer. Although it will be sad to leave this city I've come to see as home, but right now there is no place I'd rather be than with family. I will arrive home next Monday. The hardest thing I've ever had to do is tell these kids the news. It was excruciatingly difficult. I didn't think my heart could take it. I have one more precious week with them and then I'll be with them all next weekend while their parents are away. It will be a good time of closure. Then I'll have breakfast with them on Monday before taking a cab to the airport. I'm dreading that last hug from each of them. Things have been working out so well. A very good friend of mine is taking my place. The children know her and little Zac adores her. Everything has fallen into place. It is confirmation that this is the right thing. I've been soaking up Paris in these last days. I love this city and I will never love another place so much. It is deep in me. Paris will always be a part of me and a part of my story. I've enjoyed the journey and sharing it with you. I'd start to write and take photos of Garland, Texas, but I'm quite sure it wouldn't be all that exciting. Thanks for reading!
Merci et au revoir!

Camera Phone Documentation
Lately, especially during Winter, I don't care much to carry my camera around. Because of this, camera phone photos must suffice. I will give you a few blog posts in one. Their central theme, of course, being that they are camera phone photos.
Just before holidays, I went to Laduree to get some macarons for my grandmother. It's just near the Louis Vuitton store on the Champs Elysees. When I walked by I noticed that there were so many people standing outside along with security guards, police, and drivers. Yes, a celebrity was inside. I couldn't wait it out as I was already running late, but I at least snapped a photo of what this looks like. I wish it wasn't so blurry.
Rue de Commerce during Christmas time. I love the lights on the streets.
This one is TINY. However, all I need to say to preface this one is...THEY'RE BAAAACK!
Yesterday morning when I arrived at work, Zac was getting dressed in some new clothes. His mother went out and bought all new thread at Bonpoint. He has two new coats as well. I thought he looked so handsome. I just couldn't get over how cute he was. While we were waiting for his swimming lesson to begin, I asked him to do a model walk for me, to pose. And he did it like a pro!
This morning as we came out of the metro near his school, we saw the most BEAUTIFUL sunrise. I will say that Paris has gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The children were all ooohing and ahhhhing. You could hear them say "Look how pink it is!" and even the adults just stopped and stared. I wasn't able to take photos until after I dropped him off, but it was still beautiful although not as breathtaking. In one direction it was pink, in another it was orange, another it was purple. The camera photos don't quite justify it, but I'm not sure any photo could.
